How can I tell if a printer is on the same network as my ipad?

This is how I’d check to see if a printer is on the same network as my iPad:
  1. Open “Settings” app on your iPad.
  2. Open WiFi settings by tapping “WiFi”.
  3. Check that both the iPad and printer are connected to WiFi, and on the same network.
  4. Look for the printer in the list of devices connected to the network. (Should be listed by IP address, or hostname)

You will not be able to print to it if the printer is not listed, or it is not on the same network.
