Printing from a Chromebook
Google cloud print was a service that allowed Chromebook users and users in general, regardless of laptop brands or Operating Systems to work across space.
This service provided people with a means to print across distances or easily access their printers from any where across the globe or in the own houses from different locations of the house.
What this basically does is put the printer on the internet where people can access it.
As of Jan of 2020, this service has ceased and users will be unable to print across the web.
This service has been replaced by CUPS, Common UNIX Printing System a system that uses Internet Printing Protocol (IPP).
Similar to IP protocol that uses numbering system to connect computers and peripherals but for printers.
This allows for all printers and peripherals to be able to communicate and be found in the first place.
This system has brought about convenience and printer compatibility with Chromebooks.
So if you are asking as to which printer is compatible with Chromebook, the answer is simply, all, as all printers now days use the IPP protocol to be able to be found and communicate with devices across the network.
This has allowed all printers to be compatible with Chromebooks
